Build your own avatar with IMVU Mobile
The IMVU Mobile tool allows you to create your own avatar and then chat in 3D (as their adverts phrase it). The overall goal is to communicate as yourself using a personalized avatar. Instead of video chatting, which is literally chatting as yourself, you may create a personalized avatar the represents your look, your style and your mood.
Pose and add filters to get people talking
You may create an avatar with IMVU Mobile that looks just like you, or you can create an avatar that you wish was you, or that has styles/looks you do not have the courage to try for yourself. The in-app purchases mean you may dress your avatar differently. You may literally go shopping for clothes for your avatar. Controlling your avatar during conversation is pretty fun. Pick a small icon such as a frowning face, and your 3D avatar will mimic whatever mood you have chosen.
Chatting in 3D
If you look at the top of the screen as you are chatting, then it may feel as if your avatars are chatting to each other. If you take the time to become engaged with the idea, you and your chatting companion may create a slightly deeper and more dynamic conversation that more correctly transmits thoughts and feelings. On the other hand, you may spend most of your chat making your avatar do things just for the sake (and fun) of it.
